Our Inspiration

“The guests, as spectacular as a group has ever been as assembled for a private party in New York, were an international Who’s Who of notables. There were diplomats, politicians, scientists, painters, writers, composers, actors, producers, dress designers, social figures, tycoons and what Mr. Capote called “international types, lots of beautiful women and ravishing little things.”

And nobody seemed to be having more fun than the host.”

November 29, 1966 New York Times

So reported the New York Times, following Truman Capote’s epic black and white party on November 28, 1966 at the The Plaza Hotel. With that backdrop as our inspiration, we invite you to join us on a journey back to 1966 when miniskirts were fashion forward, Star Trek had just premiered, Batman and Mission Impossible were hits, and the Beatles were playing on the radio.

What to Wear: Wear your favorite black and white outfits like the guests at The Plaza or be inspired by any 60’s glam or other costume. Keep your chin, your hair and your heels high!
